Barrow Police are investigating a serious assault which occurred at 9.50pm on Tuesday 12th September 2023  at the entrance door to the Asda Store, Walney Road, Barrow-in-Furness.

A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital and received emergency surgery for a severe fracture to the leg as a result of this incident.

A 35-year-old man from the Barrow area was arrested at the location. He has since been released from custody on bail whilst the investigations continue.
Police are seeking the assistance from any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or recorded the incident on their mobile phones or captured the incident on vehicle dashcams.
